  Google threatening to pull search engine from Australia

  government is saying google should pay fees to news media for aggregating news.

  google says they will geo-block australia from search if forced to.

  raises some interesting questions about how dependant we have all become and how entangled google is in our lives.

  Raises some interesting questions about how dependant we have all become and how entangled google is in our lives.

  There are other search engines which work fine for trivial searches, which is what most of us actually use the search engines for according to Google's own stat's.

  This raises the question, should a company have the right to know absolutely everything about you just because you googled a recipe for sweet and sour chicken?

  10 million bible studies and 200 000 baptisms. How many of these would be jw kids with no choice? Over my whole life as a born in, I cant remember many people that became jw's cold from the territory. I could probably count them on 2 hands but I would really have to think about it.

  are there specific rules or watchtower articles that must be followed?.

  i have been to three different wakes/funerals where a disfellowshipped person attended with different results.. 1. ten years ago my first cousin passed away.

  At a funeral for a worldly man, whose son was a jw, a disfellowshipped man I know was told he wasn't welcome because he was making other JW's in attendance feel uncomfortable.

  The stupidity and arrogance of this is infuriating. For starters, the funeral was at a funeral house, not the kh. The disfellowshipped man was a personal friend of the deceased and the JW's that were there barely knew the deceased and were mostly there only for support of his jw son.

  Disgraceful, unchristian behaviour.

  Covid lung damage worse than from heavy smoking

  we've probably all heard it, "i wish i could get the covid and that way it would be behind me", as if it were some annoying rite of passage.

  "sure, i'll lose my senses of smell and taste for awhile, i'll lose my strength for awhile", etc.. what else could be the reasoning for ignoring the social distancing to attend maskless parties and similar large group gatherings?.

  however, looking at the following xray images of certain lungs may help impress some folks into thinking that there are more serious happenings in the attack progression of this virus.

  Maybe I've been asleep for the last 6 months, but can you please tell me which vaccines the Trump administration have 'created'?

  According to the CDC only 2 vaccines are approved and authorised for use in the U.S., Moderna (U.K.) and Pfizer(German).

  Have I missed something?

  so i received an email from one of the used-to-be jw friends that now pretty much ignore me.

  it was haranguing me about "getting right with gee-ho'-vuh", and how imperative it was to "return to the organization".

  it continued on with the worn out argument that "the faithful and discreet slave know what we must do in order to be safe and to live, as gee-ho'-vuh brightens the light to them.

  This has probably been mentioned by someone already.

  Ive never thought about it before, but here is a semi-interesting factoid. The names Caleb and Sophia mean faithful and wise, just like the gb. 🙄

  Also, when Caleb gets older and does some web searches, he might find some interesting reading concerning slavery and the ancient Jews. The capture of slaves, or owning them was basically glorified and was a status symbol. Defeating your enemies, killing almost everyone except virgins and taking them as wives amounted to genocidal rape- but eating a piece of birthday cake is like disowning Jesus?

  Hopefully, this will give him some comfort about eating a leftover piece of cake.

  Blues brother, I am only speculating but because it was a royal commission, the governor general, as the Queens representative is automatically involved, even if its merely to rubber stamp the findings.
